The authors have packed a great deal of space plasma physics information into this book. They aim it towards high school students interested in science, but we suggest only serious students try to tackle it. For although the intent was to keep the mathematics required to a minimum, the subject matter itself does not easily lend itself to simple explanations. For serious seniors and all college students and beyond, the book is an invaluable source of information on the solar wind, auroras, magnetic storms, solar flares, solar dynamo, cosmic rays, the atmosphere and ionosphere, etc.
